Minohexa 10% EC
Minohexa is a non-systemic contact
acaricide belonging to the Thiazolidine group, formulated as an emulsifiable
concentrate (EC). It specializes in combating various stages of mites that
cause economic damage in most crops.
1. It has both contact and stomach poison
effects.
2. Its effectiveness is high when used
early in the onset of infestation or at low levels of mite populations. It
controls and limits infestation and reduces its spread.
3. Minohexa penetrates leaf tissues, storing
within them and killing piercing-sucking mites that feed on the internal leaf
contents.
4. Highly effective against different
stages of mites (larvae and nymphs) and affects females, preventing them from
laying viable eggs.
Minohexa is suitable for integrated pest
management programs, and scientific tests have shown no resistant strains to
the pesticide. It is effective against various stages of many types of harmful
mites (spiders) in crops.
Minohexa is used in field crops, vegetables,
fruits, ornamental plants, medicinal plants, and aromatic plants. It is
characterized by its penetration and stability within treated plant leaves,
reducing environmental pollution and preserving beneficial organisms. Its
effectiveness is not affected by rain or high humidity.
Minohexa provides long-term control,
protecting the crop for an extended period, thereby reducing the number of
adult mites by preventing generational succession. It is compatible with
Integrated Pest Management (IPM) programs.
**Ministry
of Agriculture Recommendations:**
- For the mobile stages of the European
red mite: 50 cm³/100 liters of water.
Minohexa is mixable with most common
insecticides and acaricides. It is advisable to conduct a compatibility test
before mixing
